How To Read A Counted Cross Stitch Pattern [Video]

Ever wanted to learn to cross stitch but don't know where to start with the pattern? Wonder no more!

A counted cross stitch pattern is made up of squares on a grid and as you might have guessed, you count the stitches so that they match the squares on the pattern.

Your cross stitch fabric (aida) is woven in a way that means it is made up of small squares. Those little holes that you see are the corners of each square.
